Doubt regarding jebao dcp-8000 controller

Hello
I recently bought a jebao dcp-10000 pump that came with a dcp-8000 controller. Do I need to change to a 10000 controller or the 8000 controller will work just fine?

I've always wondered this as I have two different sized dcp pumps that have identical looking controllers. I think that it would put out less power than the 10000 controller but I'm not positive. If its a brand new pump I would return for another or at least request the proper controller unless they tell you that it will work properly.
