Hi there,

A few days ago I bought a calcium reactor, I'm still waiting for the reactor to arrive and the rest of the equipment to work.

I have some queries that I hope will help me since I have no experience with the use of calcium reactors.

1- How do you feed the water to the reactor? Can you help me with photos to give me an idea please.
2- How much is the indicated pH that the reactor chamber should be?
3- What kind of aragonite is best to use? I have seen fine coarse, coarse and extra coarse.

I thank you very much if you can help me with these doubts?

Regards.

I think consensus is that a high quality feed pump such as a peristaltic or other industrial quality/type dosing or metering pump is best so there is little to no variation in feed rate.

What's best on the other fronts is more subjective to what you actually prefer and what the reactor manufacturer recommends. I would be checking with them if you can.

Thanks mcarroll

I bought on Amazon a Tom Tom pump to feed the water from the reactor, however I have seen that some people use a return tube connection to the display.

The reactor I bought is a Korallin C-1502

I set mine up using this video as a guide. It is much simpler than the standard way to setup and tune a carx.

As for a feed pump, if you set your CaRX the way the video says to you can use a cobalt maxi jet pump or a quiet one pump (under 300gph)

For media I used two little fishes reborn media.

I use a Geo's Reef 618 with a secondary reactor.
