Does anyone have experience of the noise level between plumbing the down flow with 90 degree fittings vs 45 degrees?

I currently using 90 degrees and the water running in the pipe is pretty loud. I wonder if changing them to 45 degrees will help or not.

Are you running a siphon or just a drain line?

Lots of people here will have experience with that. First thing, like Crabs asked is if this is a full siphon line or just a drain.

A more detailed description of the setup and a few photos of the overflow, drain area of the sump and the plumbing and I'd bet you have a consensus on the reason and solution in a couple of hours.

BTW, best way to eliminate friction losses is to use flex PVC. I hardly use the rigid stuff on my system anymore.

It's just a drain line. The tank is corner overflow with only one hole for down flow.

Also when the water enter the sump in the small chamber next to the filter sock (is that called bubble trapper?) it is pretty noise as well. So I'm not sure if that noise have a way to reduce. If not just make the water in the pipe go quite is kind of pointless, right?

What does the top half inside the overflow look like? Is it a durso drain? or just an open drain?
