Downsizing tank. Stocking ideas?

Well I had to move and along with that my 150gallon display with tangs and other beautiful fish also had to go.
Im looking to setup a small cube (less than 40 gallon display) but im drawing a blank of what I can put in there other than clowns.
What are some good small tank fish that will be happy in here. Might even be a fish only tank so dont worry about coral nippers.

There is quite a lot that you could put in a 40 gallon. Most Damsels and Chromis, Firefish, some Cardnalfish would work, Blennys, Gobies, and maybe even some Wrasse. Just do lots of research!

i royal grammas, midas Blennys, dwarf angelfish, clown gobies, cardinal, bi color blennes, six line, there many options as well
