I believe they have become more aware of the MAP pricing issue on these discount codes and wont repeat that mistake again for ECOTECH, Red Sea systems, Kessils, etc. Another Neptune system at 20% off would be nice (but they dont even sell Neptune anyhow)

Liveaquaria has a 25% off code FROMUS25 good on regular priced aquarium supplies, it only good today 1/28/19. However its not valid on map items.

I've heard from multiple people it's 10%. So with sales tax now and a 10% hike it's pretty significant. Over 1 grand for xr30 pro.

That is insane.
I just missed out by one day on a code recently that took 15%off of which did work for Ecotec and other map items at the time. I could have gotten 2- mp40s for just under $600.00 before tax.

Bad business...thats why I am sticking with AI hopefully other companies won't follow

Ecotech and aquaillumination actually merged some time ago. No idea if the price hike will be put on the AI line though.

Ecotech's Vortech patents have to be running out soon I would think. Led technology is improving. We just need more competition in this industry. Unfortunately it's a fairly small market. I dunno, everything seems to be going up besides my paycheck.

Yeah man it's kinda crazy for a light that's been around a few years. I get it's just a markup to push through higher costs, but still. Now with BRS charging sales tax and others sure to follow, it's a pretty steep hike up. I bought 3 xr15s on BF for $340 each. Now they are $445.19. I myself will be waiting for something new before spending that kind of money on lights. I needed a powerhead for a tank in my basement, I bought a jebao ow 40. I've had 3 jebao products and 2 of 3 failed within a year, but at some point the cost/benefit just doesn't make sense.

I agree. I just think they should eat it until they come out with something new. They are a very successful company within this industry however, so I would assume they know what they are doing! Good news is with their extremely strict MAP policy and the new prices, the used market is strong which helps this equipment we buy retain value!

I'm just crabby about it all, but it's probably a good sign for our economy. Everything is going up and unemployment is low. I just need a bigger number on my W2!
