I have been having issues with Ich in my 180 gallon reef after adding a wild caught Achilles. He had been quarantined for 2 weeks with no signs of anything and when he went into the display tank, BOOM.
I am in the group that believes the less stress the better, so I added some garlic and fish vitamins to the food and made sure he was well fed. The prob went away until I went away for the weekend and the person watching my fish caused my fan to fall, which sprayed sand everywhere.
I started the fish on the Anti-Parasitic and Antibiotic caviar versions a little over a week ago and the Achilles is looking great. All signs of Ich are gone, his eye has cleared up (was cloudy, but not swollen) and he is putting on a little weight. I mix half a cap of each with some of the algae pellets and let it soak up for a bit, once per day. I think I will switch to every other day next week and keep it at that until I haven't seen signs for a few weeks.
If you are having issues, I would try this stuff out!
