I’m having a bad case of dinos and I decided to do a tank black out with dr tims waste away but I’m having a little trouble understanding the dosage
On the back of the directions it says “slowly waiting a minimum of 48 hours between dosings build up to the maximum dosage over a week or two” which makes me want to believe I should start with a dosage every 48 hours and slowly increase time between each dose but on another part of the directions it says “ shake well before using dose 10ml per 10 gal. Use once per week as a natural way to keep your aquarium clean” that makes me think I should start off with dosing weekly
If you’ve used this product before then I’d appreciate some help

Instructions are a bit scrambled. The 10 mL per 10 gal per week dose is a maintenance dose. Dr. Tim’s suggestion for you to keep buying the product whether or not your system will benefit from such dosing.

The “slowly“ direction is aimed at initial dosing, when you are adding your very first dose. The suggestion is add 5 mL per 10 gallons, wait at least 48 hours to see what happens. If water is clear and the aquarium inhabitants are acting normally, add maybe 6 mL and wait at least another 48 hours. Continue this until your dose is 10 mL per ten gallons.
