I have just received Dr. Tim's Dino treatment and wad wondering if it's an okay idea to modify the method to not include a blackout.

I have made a lot of progress against the dinos, but progress is slowing and the amount less that come back each day is barely an improvement day to day.

Is it possible I skip the blackout? Any other suggested modificationd?

Edit: it's ostreopsis that I am fighting.

I've done it without the blackout. It had not gotten too bad before I started the treatment. My understanding is if they are bad, do the BO to knock them back.

Go to Mack's Reef Dinoflagellate Support Group on Facebook. I believe ostreopsis can be extinguished quickly with uv, but you need a certain power of uv and you need to plumb differently. Look at Mack's Reef there are files on the opening page.
