Looks like I'm getting close! Dosing ammonia today since .5ppm or under and really excited to keep on keeping on.

with so much nitrate present I would call that a cycled tank. Stop adding ammonia and get ready to add the first fish

No kidding?! If it's that low tomorrow, should I do a 25-50% change and add a fish?

it looks to me the nitrate is 80, or 40, if I see correctly? I would do a large water change to bring it down to about 10ish, then should be good to add the first fish. Good luck

The API test are not very sensitive to measure low levels.
Rock, salt, water, sand if you chose, flow, Dr. Tim’s and 6 days you’d be ready to add some friends.
Water change, sure, that’s fine, you’ll pull some nutrients from your mix.
Keep light on the lower end, fish don’t care.

It has arag alive sand, dry rock, and powerheads and filter have been on without filter sock which has chemi pure in it with filter floss. I'll drop the sock and filter floss in tonight when I change water. Thanks!

Ammonia is 0ppm this morning. Tank cycled in 7 days. Thanks to all for the help! Will post again once I've got my first fish in the tank!

What kind of fish you planning on? Build threads are always fun to do.

I'm gonna bring back my old starter post. I've always wanted a regular clown fish but never had one in my old 40g or 55g. Plus the wife really wants one. Gonna start there and wait a bit before adding something else
