Dr. Tim's One and Only

I used it on my cube and it seemed to speed up my cycle (started with dry rock). I didn't buy it myself but got it from a fellow reefer that I bought some equipment off of when he was getting out of the hobby.

I'm using it currently and just curious to how long it takes to cycle. I'm doing a fishes cycle and added the 2ppm of ammonia.

It was definitely under a week that it could process 2ppm of ammonia all the way through to nitrate, don't remember exactly though. I didn't end up adding my first fish for over 3 weeks, wasn't in any rush.

I used Dr Tim's One and Only when I transferred my livestock to a new larger tank.. worked great! When I say it worked great I mean I had no detectable ammonia after setting up the new tank using my old water and new well seeded liverock!!

I used it when setting up a new tank. I think it took about a week for the ammonia to go to nitrite and then approx another week to go to nitrate. I kept adding ammonia during the cycle until I could add some and the next day have 0 ammonia and 0 nitrite.

I used it to cycle my tank as well. I had the same results as abecker...I kept having to add ammonia to the tank to keep the cycle going and to feed the beneficial bacteria. Sped up the cycling process considerably. I use it in my QT as well.

I used it before 3 weeks ago to start my cycle using dry rock and dry sand .read the instructions very carefully and dont add more ammonium chloride than recommended dose .It will not work in 3 days as they explain in video it will take 3 weeks to clear up ur ammonia and nitrite.keep checking ur ammonia and nitrite and follow the schedule to test and add ammonia .

I did bare bottom and dry rock also and my cycle was 6 days. Amazing product!!! Instead of liquid ammonia I used 6 chromis.

I used it and nothing happened. Bottle was dead. I was dosing his ammonia. I bought biospira and cycle started immediately.

The only problems that I see with using live fish is that (a) it exposes your fish to ammonia, which burns their gils and (b) you can not control the ammonia levels. It will work, but it is not as controlled.

I used it after I found Prodibio to be utterly useless. I cycled a 260+ gallon volume system in about 3 full weeks. I added NH3 to 5ppm 3 times during this time period. I just finished the 14-day ZeoVit cycle that I began after the initial 3 weeks was complete. I like the product. I would recommend the product to anyone cycling with dry rock.

Did you buy from them or a LFS? I've never heard of it not working and I bet they would have sent a new bottle if they knew.

I bought it through Amazon and got refund. Plenty of others with same result on reviews. Maybe the way they stored it killed off bottle. No clue. But biospira from Amazon worked for me.
