Dr. Tim's Waste Away Gel anyone?

those are interesting, helpful possibly for large tankers or for small tankers who do not want to clean out detritus. they're sludge digesters, particle reducers...those might be among the items that have no measurable function in the aquarium unless we're using them to battle other invasive organisms possibly like people use mb7 for cyano.

Ive never seen a retail item that reduces detritus to the point it goes away/mass conservation but if the system has good circulation and or good binding I can see how slight reduction in aggregate size might expose the waste to currents and thereby export
 
Does this stuff really make detritus dissapear?
 
Somebody= test

Take an old sandbed, siphon brown water out from the bottom with a wood dowel and taped hose shoved down in one corner

Take cup/jar of brown water, add this or any other sludge digester, even ones for septic systems apply

See how many days it takes for the detritus to disappear, seems like a fair direct test for the product.
