Hi everyone, I am new to this site. I have a question about my Dracula goby. I had it for about 1 week with my pistol shrimp and everything was going great. He was eating fine but when I came home one night I see him just laying there on the sand far away from his cave like he was dead, I decided to take him out to see but when I return after putting my stuff away he was gone. I thought maybe my turbo snail might have ran over him and barried him under the sand so I took my fishing net and comb over the spot where he was at and i see caught in my next Iet him out and he swim back into his cave. I question is it normal for them to sleep outside the cave?.

First off Welcome to Reef2Reef, you'll find some great help and good answers here. But back to your question It depends, gobbies are strange at times. Is he still sleeping or hiding now? like was this just a one-time incident of him sleeping outside of his cave? has he been acting strange any other time before this?

It's was the fist time I see him slept outside is cave. This morning he's back sitting at the entrance and everything seem normal I feed him and eat fine.
