I purchased a dragon eye frag with about 6 polyps. Received it about 2 weeks ago and it will still only "peek" at me. It has not yet fully opened. I have it at the bottom of the tank in low to moderate flow. Normal light cycle and good water parameters. Any ideas on what I can do to help these guys out?

What do you consider normal light hours and good parameters. Somthing maybe irritating it. Did you dip it before putting them in your dt? Those are very stable Oas usually so somethong must be wrong.

Try moving it up a little in the light and little more flow have mine about 3/4 high in the tank under 150w mh and they are growing great

They are in a Coralife 29 gallon biocube with the 5 addition led's. 8 month old tank. Water parameters are 0ppm ammonia 0ppm nitrite 0ppm nitrate. I have 9 other softies and palys that are thriving. These guys just refuse to open more than a peek.

I need to learn how to edit my post after posting it. No I did not dip them. Just 2 hour drip acclimation.

For me it was just finding that place that they were the happiest and when I did they just took off

2 hour drip acc? thats a long time bud. zoas you dont really need to drip acc them, all i do is a temp acc, then do half my water with the bag water it came in for like 5-10minutes and then i DIP DIP DIP DIP DIP DIP DIP DIP DIP DIP DIP

never EVER LISTEN TO ANYONE that says there tank is PEST FREE>.< you will RUIN your TANK that way.

also dragon eye zoas are a very easy zoa to keep. they like it anywhere in the tank where you place them just make sure there getting enough light.

i have some on the bottem in a shaded spot and some all the way upp to the tippy top and some in the middle they do great all over for me. whats your water PAR's?

Unfortunately I have no way of getting par measurements so I don't know. Is there a particular dip that you would recommend? And thanks guys for all if the input. I am going to try moving it up for a few days and see if it will open up more.
