Dragon goby in fowlr tank.

Hey everyone,
I'm new to saltwater aquariums and I have a 55g fowlr tank set up. So far all I have is some hermit crabs and snails in the tank just eating some algae. I have been wanting to get a dragon goby to start off with I'm just curious, with it being a brackish fish if there will be any issues with him living in a SW tank. I do plan on acclimating him with a drip system, based on some previous threads I've seen. My biggest question is, is a 55g going to be too small for this type of fish. Is this kind of fish maybe not the best idea for the tank I have?

The tank is large enough. I don't know that it will survive in SW conditions. It needs 1.015 -ish water, which would probably cause problems for your inverts.
There are so many cool SW fish, do a bit more searching until you find one you like.

Thank you! I have a short list of fish I want to add to my tank based off the ones I've seen in my LRS and online at liveaquaria. The dragon goby was the most peaceful of the bunch so I figured I should start there. Based on a few threads I've seen on a couple different forums, they say that you can acclimate these brackish fish to full SW via drip systems. Again I'm new to all this so maybe I'm wrong Idk. Although I am not concrete set on any of the fish that I'm looking at except for one. I eventually want a mobassa lion fish that is the only one I am sure I want in my tank at some point.

Agreed. If you're just looking for a smallish, peaceful, eel-like reef fish, check out the Engineer Goby.

That is actually a beautiful fish I will have to take a closer look at them thank you @Mr. Bill I also thought about a snowflake eel. I think I just liked the prehistoric/scary looking, feel the dragon goby has.
