I’m looking to sell a Dragon Soul Torch, currently 8 heads, but I don’t know what pricing looks like these days. What are these things typically going for per head?
My LFS says he will take it off my hands for $300 and I’d be lucky to get more than that

If true dragon soul then he will chop it up and sell for at least $200 per head, so I would expect to get $800 at least from him.

I know I would pay $800 for an 8 head dragon soul and so would many others here.

It depends where you are located and what the hobby is like around you. Dragon Soul torches can go anywhere from $150-$300 per head, considering all variables. So you should be able to get way more than $300.

Yep that seems way to low. I'm not big into torches, but offering $35 head is not enough. I'd try to get closer to $150 a head for a dragon soul.

Do NOT sell it for $350, that’s a complete rip off.

Dragon souls usually go for at LEAST $120 per head. For 8 heads? At LEAST $800. Minimum.
That’s like a store price though. I don’t buy from hobbyist who price their corals like a store.

I just paid 280 for 2 heads from r2r online sale. You do the math

The dragon soul variant has come down in price quite a bit. 250 to 300 a head is over retail at boutique stores.
$250-$300 is an accurate statement:

Unless you have an awesome local reefer that wants to sell his torches cheap, you can except to pay that price.

That's retail pricing and leaves no meat on the bone.
I wasn't specifically referring to selling it to a store owner at that price, I realize they wouldn't pay that for it. But $150 a head seems like a reasonable price to other hobbyists. I just Google it and online from coral websites and not hobbyists they seem to be selling for $200-$400 per head. Something close to $150 per head selling as a hobbyists to another hobbyist doesn't seem unreasonable to me.

A store where I live in FL sells them for about $100 a head now. I won’t pay over that from a hobbyist

Sorry for the late reply, I have a good photo I will send, give me a few minutes here, I’m located in Los Angeles
Oh you are definitely getting $150 per head in LA if you chop up and sell individually. Sell them all together and I think $800 is the price point. Wish I was in town....

Put it on craigslist and find out in a couple days.
