I was just doing some maintenance on my tank and my poor dragonet decided to jump out of the tank. I’m not sure how long he was out but it couldn’t have been more than 5 mins. He darted into the rock work once I got him back in. Is there anything I can do to help him survive?

Nothing can be done now. Just let it be as stress free as possible. Might be a good idea to cover the tank or find out what caused the jump in the first place.

They are very prone to jumping, especially when spooked. I don’t think there’s anything you can do besides providing adequate water quality and aeration.

They like many gobies are notorious jumpers and as long as slime coat has not dried, it has half a chance. Typically do nothing and allow it to gain both oxygen and skin repair within tank.
You can if it is thriving add stress coat which contributes to slime coat buildup

His slime coat wasn’t close to dry. But he’s just curled up in an odd position in the rocks not moving. All I can see is him subtly breathing.

This exact same thing happened to me.
I just tossed him back in, seemed a bit dry.
But next day, back to normal, now 3 years older.
Lucky I seen him.

Just leave him and hope for best results.

Update- I woke up to him swimming around this morning like nothing ever happened. Couldn’t be happier:)
Great to hear! Carpet surfing is an olympic sport with gobies. If I didn't have a cover on my tank, mine would have won the gold metal a long time ago. :face-with-tears-of-joy:

You could always DIY a lid if you are concerned about them jumping out. I made a DIY lid for my tank using a screen door maker since I was worried about our fish jumping.
