I love the look of Dragon's breath and want to keep it in display tank. My tank is a mix reef tank. I don't have any tangs in my tank (one moorish idol, 6 anthias, 2 wrasses) and a long spine urchin and turbo snails. urchin does a great job of keeping undesirable algae out of display. I tried putting dragon's breath into display last weekend and next morning I see the urchin on top of it and munching on it. So took it back out and put it back into fuge. (fuge with Chaeto). If I get rid of the urchin, I am sure my tank will have algae problem since I feed heavily. Wondering whether there are any inverts/fish that will effectively consume undesirable algae like hair algae but will leave macro algae alone? Have anyone been able to keep macro algae in their reef tank (not just one or two corals, tank full of corals)? If so, I am interested in fish/inverts list that you kept in the tank. Thanks for any suggestions you may have.
