I take the old saltwater from one baffle away from the return pump, and the new saltwater goes in at the return pump. So old comes out at the end of the loop and new goes in at the beginning. I think this works to minimize the amount of nsw you’re removing.
I remove water from the 3rd chamber and refill water to the return pump section(4th chamber).
It also matters on how much water is being changed and the amount of time it takes to do the water change. My AWC is setup to change 1gal in a span of 24hrs (28ml every 10mins) so little chance that the new saltwater that was just added is being suctioned out during AWC.
