Ok... I have a 32mm drain and 25mm return in my weir. I only have 2 holes.
I've currently got the durso system but finding I cant get quite enough water down it fast enough and its also very noisy.
What are my options that allow a heavier flow and a more silent flows?
Hofer? Stockman?
Thanks

Can you replace the overflow or have it drilled to add another drain? I would try to switch to the Herbie or the Bean Animal style.

I bought a used tank that also had two holes that ran a durso setup. I fixed everything up and had new durso drains ..until I read up more about the dangers and possible clogging that can happen. So I immediately converted it to a herbie style. 1 hole for the main drain and the other hole for the emergency drain. My return = pipes that go behind the tank and over. Never regretted this once. Gives me peace of mind and it's super quiet vs durso.

Don't have option to Change anything. Draining Tank...moving everything.... Go add a 3rd hole isnt viable option

Don't need to add a third hole of you already have 2. Just use the herbie method with the current 2 holes in the overflow, and have your returns go up over the back of the tank.

You will never have a quiet durso setup(there is a reason beyond safety for no one selling tanks with durso setups anymore). It can become quieter, but will never be silent. Water mixed with air, and not a full siphon will always sound like water crashing or glugging in the pipe.

Is the herbie able to take alot of flow? My other issue is that I have clarisea sk5000... Id then have to attach both ends into the clarisea?

I had a tank years ago with a single durso. It was incredibly noisy no matter what I did. I ended up making a hoffer gurgle buster and it fixed the problem. Not as silent as a bean animal but very very close.

Another option which would be safer in regards to flooding is run your return line over the top of the tank, and use the existing return hole as the secondary for a herbie.
