Draining corner overflows

How does everyone drain their overflows if s fish gets in there? I have always used a small pump into a bucket. Now I'm in a new build and thinking on a easier way to drain it if I need to. Suggestions?

How does everyone drain their overflows if s fish gets in there? I have always used a small pump into a bucket. Now I'm in a new build and thinking on a easier way to drain it if I need to. Suggestions?

Cut tops so fish can’t get in there, maybe. I don’t glue my stand pipes in so I can just pull them and drain the overflow to the sump if need be.
