Draining tank water into washer drain??

Can I or has anyone drained water from there tank into and worn the drain where a washers drain runs into? I'm trying to see if that is ok so I can hit a switch which will turn on a pump from my drag tank and pump it into that drain since it's in the same room to make water changes easier?? Any thought??

You certainly can use that drain.....it all goes to the same place!

So it will not harm anything down the road? No different then dumping down any other drain?

No problem IMO. Just make sure the washer isn't draining at the same time. Depending on your pump size the drain may not be able to handle both at the same time
