I thought it would be cool if people would describe their dream tank, if it was even possible. In this thread disregard price and the possibility of most houses to even support that much water, as well as the fact that your family would never let it happen. Anyways, heres mine:
6000 Gallon Aquarium (not so large that I have to scuba dive to clean, but still a lot of work, but necessary for some of the features I want)
Strong lighting for growing all types of corals across the tank
Zone 1: Dense macroalgae with small clearings and low flow, this would provide a place for seahorses and copepods
Zone 2: Primary SPS zone, this area blocks the high flow from entering Zone 1
Zone 3: Huge zoa garden
Zone 4: Huge anemones for clownfish harems
Zone 5: More zoanthid gardens but mixed with lps
Zone 6: Sps and Lps mix, maybe a clam or two as well
Zone 7: LPS primary zone
Zone 8: Dense caves provide home for the dwarf golden moray eels

What do you guys think?

I think that is too much work!

My dream tank would be 120"x30"x24" which may just happen some day. Big enough for any fish I would want, yet still practical as far as maintenance and water changes.

Well Im trying to ignore practicality. Id have to quit my job to maintain a tank that big

My dream tank is ceiling to floor wall to wall DT edged out in stone. Behind it would be my fish room the would contain a floor drain, full plumbing, water storage / change system , storage racks for spare equipment, room for a 120 gallon QT system. The sump would be waste level so I don’t have to bend over to work on it and electrical panels to make wiring easy.

Oh and also I would want to build a bar with granite countertops around the DT for entertaining ;)
