Hi All!

We have a 190gal that is 3 months old and is doing very well (knock on wood!).

We currently have:

5 Azure Damsels
2 Blue/Green Chromis
1 Royal Fairy Wrasse
2 PJ & 1 Banggai Cardinal
1 Bellus Angelfish

I have the following on the wish list to add, but I am not sure of their sequence, who I should add together vs. separately and not overwhelm the biology by too many at one time. I am going to try to get them all as juvenile as I can. We have lots of swim space, caves and hiding spots for them in our structures.

I am hoping some of you may have some experiences/expertise you'd share with me on how to proceed. This is (kind of) the order I was thinking of, depending on availability...

Clowns (x2)
Elegant Firefish (x3?)
Sunburst Anthias (x3)
Lyretail Anthias (x3)
Yellow Flanked Fairy
Royal Gamma Basslet
Magnificent Foxface Rabbitfish
Tang (One of each: Powder Blue, Goldrim, Atlantic Blue)
Naoko Wrasse
Leopard Wrasse
Blenny (Lawnmower?)
Goby (Diamond or Spotted Orange)
Green or Spotted Mandarin (we have lots of copepods already)

Thank you in advance for any thoughts you might have. I am so excited to start really building the community!

Firefish won't thrive with the damsels.

The royal gramma may have trouble settling with established damsels.

Naokoae fairy wrasses are pretty aggressive toward other fairy and flasher wrasses.

Everything else looks good.

Oh thank you so much for that insight! I certainly don't want to set any little guys up for failure... your feedback is exactly what I was hoping for. Thank you!

All your tangs are in the same family, the only way to keep them from fighting and this isn't a guaranty. If you add them all at the same time. I also recommend you QT the tangs (in a 55 gal) they are prone to have ick. You don't want to get all existing fish sick. Other wise pick tangs from different families or have different body shapes. Note all tangs are aggressive some just more than others, I suggest researching the tangs to find out in which order you can add them. Or submit another list and people will respond. One last comment is your tank 60" or 48" long, if its 48" you may have trouble with three tangs, you may might only be able to keep one, like a Kole tang. Even at 60" they might have more aggression with three. Good Luck.

Thanks for the heads up on the Tangs! Our tank is 48". I will do some more research on them and search for some articles here. Thank you!!
