Do any of you use this set up with successful results? can you give me some advice on programming the Apex Controller. Any feedback would be appreciated.

one more question. Do any of you dose into the overflow box? Would that make a difference?

I figured it would mix better when flowing thru the sump and into the return pump. Just wanted to see if any of you tried this method.

Thanks

My main supplementation is via ca reactor and kalk but I use this to add alk or ca (or anything really) overnight when I need a boost.

My program is simple
Fallback OFF
Set OFF
If Time 01:00 to 09:30 Then ON

Its set to go on when ph is low. The pump is usually but when I need to add a few ml of soda ash I'll put the tube in a little cup and click to auto. Then it will give a temp boost to ph when the tank is ok with it.

We're I to use it for regular dosing I'd probably divide the timing up alot. Because on my 240g of actual water it can still bump up ph pretty significantly even at 1.1ml/m.
Then I'd probably only let it run for a min or 2 every 15 min so as not to give a big hit to ph that prgm might look something like...

Fallback OFF
OSC 013:00/002:00/000:00 Then ON

Then as alk demand increased you could change the number, the 13:00 could become 12:30 (or lower) while the /002:00 could become /002:30 (or higher)

As far as adding to overflow box, it's fine but return pump chamber will work too. I wouldn't drip directly into the display if that can be avoided.

Thank you. So lets say i wanted to dose something smaller through out the day like 1 ml per hour for 12 hours starting at midnight. What would the code be?

Yes on the reeftronics site! I alternate Ca and Alk this way:

Doser_Ca:
Fallback OFF
OSC 000:00/007:47/112:13 Then ON
If Time 10:00 to 19:59 Then OFF
If FeedB 030 Then OFF
If Power Apex Off 000 Then OFF

Doser_Alk:

Fallback OFF
OSC 060:00/007:47/052:13 Then ON
If Time 10:00 to 19:59 Then OFF
If pH > 8.35 Then OFF
If FeedB 030 Then OFF
If Power Apex Off 000 Then OFF

Used the reeftronics code generator to determine how many minutes 'on' I needed for 60ml per night.

I checked my Alk yesterday it was @ 6.1 dkh then checked it 24 hours later its at 6.04 dkh. What should i start with?

To figure out how much total to dose:
https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/reef-calculator/
Then decide over what time period you want to dose and use the reeftronics site to generate the code.

I use B-Ionic 2 part. It doesn’t give me that option. Which choice do I choose on the drop down menu?
