Drill press for tank drilling

Hi all,

I’m drilling a tank for the first time and rather lay it safe and buy a drill press kit so I can do this right. I found a cheaper kit at ace that seems comparable to the one sold at BRS.

Would this work? I also prefer to just pick it up locally since I’ll be drilling this weekend. I know about removing the springs from BRS’s video.

I've used this to drill more than a dozen of holes. It was the first time I drilled holes in glass and all went smooth.

I've since lent it to others to use and nobody had any complaints

I removed the springs in the picture so that I dont have to fight them as I apply very light pressure.

The press in your link appears the same; you'll be fine.

I just recently drilled my first tank. Unfortunately I found out the hard way tank was tempered
Second attempt went flawlessly. As nerve racking as it is it's a pretty straight forward process I must say. Didn't use a press just went super slow and let the drill do the work
