I recently purchased a secondhand Red Sea Reefer 170 to setup, and purchased the Radion XR15 Pro with the RMS mount to illuminate it. However this RSR has two holes drilled in the back at the top for some proprietary light fixture they had at some point. However there are two plugs in there.

I am worried about the glasses integrity if I clamp the RMS mount to this area of the tank. I *presume* that I should remove those plugs so the RMS mounts flush as its designed. However is there going to be too much torque between these holes such that I should be in fear of the glass breaking at some point? Does anyone run some kind of mount here with these holes, and without a problem? Looking for some peace of mind. Thanks!

I can’t think of a reason why a relatively lightweight device attached there would cause a problem. Something used to be hung from the holes, apparently, so it has held weight before :)
