I'm considering drilling 10g tanks to build a rack of them. I do have experience working with thicker pieces of glass, 20g's and 40g's.

I've heard mixed reviews on drilling 10 gallons. Does anyone have experience working with this thickness of glass?

Go slow. The thinner the glass the easier it is to break them. However given they only cost $10 they are also basically disposable. I will be drilling a bunch of 2 gallon cubes next week. The only tank I've ever broke was a 5 gallon out of maybe 10 or so tanks and 15 or so holes.

If you take your time you should be fine. Don't press down, let the drill do the work.
