So I'm about to get my 75 goin now. Stands built and waiting. Rock has begun 2 cook. So out of all ur experiences reefing would u rather have a center overflow duel sides, single side or off centered. I'm leaning 2 center for best circlulation. And what's the best size and piping ud recommended. This will b my 1st sumped tank. So I'd like 2 learn from u guys. Thanks

I think dual sides with center return would be nice

Have you double checked that the panel you're drilling isn't tempered?
1 inch drain, most smaller return pumps are 3/4" I believe.

I drilled my overflow to the side. 40 gal brdr frag tank. The plumbing goes almost straight down to the sump. The same with the return. Plumbing basically goes straight up. No loss of flow due to all the elbows. I use 45's. Plus it makes plumbing easy. Show some pics of the progress.

following :) planning on doing a 75 on January ^^

Currently have a diy coast to coast. Works fine with surface skimming. Next build will be a 120 with longer coast to coast diy and center return with locline.

Year later. Can barely notice it. Clean install.
