Hi , I was wondering if a Tenecor 185 gallon tank made from 5/8'' acrylic can be drilled for a Synergy Reef Shadow overflow.

The tank has no overflow at all so this would be the first overflow used with it. I would say tank is about 14 years old and has been dry for 7 years???

Please pass along your thoughts and ideas....

As far as I know, acrylic can be drilled using a regular hole saw. It's not the same as glass where you have to worry about tempered or not tempered. Lets see if anyone from #reefsquad has experience drilling acrylic :)

Yup. Just take your time and use some water to cool the bit down so you don’t melt the acrylic.

Yes, it can be drilled with regular hole saw.
