Depends on the height of the siphon. Beananimal used to have a handy calculator on his site, but he took it down. He provides the formulas and an example though. In his example, a 1" pipe with a 24" drop will create a full siphon that theoretically flows 1700gph.

I have heard everything from 660gph to 1200gph. My experience is about 900-1000gph though I rarely ever run anything close to that. On your 120, it will flow more than enough. IMO.

You can run a Herbie style drain no problem.

What type of return pump are you using? Is it constant speed like a mag drive? Or is it adjustable?

You could even run a Herbie design in the tank and forgo the overflow box.

I trimmed the bulkhead nut side about 1/8" and I was able to fit a standpipe in for the emergency drain.

The picture on their web site show a bean set up. Not sure how you can do this with the bulkheads extending that far into the box. They do say you can do 3/4 inch pipe in that box.

where did you find that? I don't see it on their site anywhere.
