Welcome to R2R Mumuti

An ATO (auto top off unit) will work for RR (reef ready) drilled aquariums with sumps, AIO (all in ones) or any tank for that matter to keep your water at a constant state of the water level you desire.

What type of system do you have and how much evaporation do you deal with a day, week or whatever?

I had this one running flawlessly for 2 years now:

As already said you need an auto top off system ATO to maintain the correct salinity when the water evaporates

And welcome to R2R Mumuti as well!

i have a 20 gal sump and lost per day 1 inch of water more less

I use a float switch in my sump that is attached to a gravity feed fresh water bucket. It works well and uses no electricity.

Do you have picture?

Sorry no pic, it's in the sump, but let me try and describe it. (look at the link) I added a water drum ( or a bucket) to supply the valve instead of an ro system. You could use an ro system in place of my bucket

It's very simple. I bought a plastic float valve on ebay, similar to this:
https://www.asap-aquarium.com/products/eshopps-float-valve-automatic-water-top-off-for-sump-refugium

I used 1/4" plastic pipe to plumb to a plastic drum.
I taped a 1/2" threaded hole and inserted a 1/2' x 1/4" quick connect into the bottom of the drum.

All of these pipe fittings use John Guest 1/4" push connect. I put the drum on a stand so the bottom of the bucket is above the sump.

If i connect the rodi direct to valve( Rain Bird MSQ2PKS Drip Irrigation 10-32 Threaded Micro-Spray Nozzle, 90° Quarter Circle Pattern, 0 - 10' Spray Distance, 2-Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J9Q2XHY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_8tm9BbSYVEBHW ) in the sump?
