Dripped PVC cement into tank!

I needed to glue an elbow into the locline and I dripped some Oatey PVC glue into the overflow...should I drain the overflow?? Thanks

If you can visibly see the glue, try and get it out. Do a 30% water change. Also get some activated carbon into a media bag and put that in your filter sock or where ever your turn water is going to your filter.

You’ll be ok. I’ve glued plumbing and turned pumps on a few minutes later, many times. Maybe drain water out the overflow and wipe up what you can.

Ya I was thinking of just draining the overflow to be safe but its a pain

Have a shop vac? Can suck the water out real quick and not need to mess with drain.

Ya thats what I did....now need to replace the water
