Drop a Word / Keep a Word

One would have to ask if you even know the meaning of adimpleate? Hmmm
Well one could be for given for not.
In the history of the English language there was one period that produced a number of obscure words and that was the 17th century, the English Renaissance. Scholars attempted to graft onto English features of Latin and Ancient Greek, languages which they deemed to be the most prestigious in the world. This explains a number of Latinate words in English, some of which have survived, and some of which have not. Take adimplete (to fill up or make complete) for example.
Jan Karon seems to be the first person for more than two centuries to use it in print. Her example is so rare that it stands a good chance of being included in the next edition of the Oxford English Dictionary.
Karon, who wrote in her most recent book, Somewhere Safe with Somebody Good, of 2014: “She smiled a little; he saw the light in her eyes. ‘You adimpleate my spirit,’ she said.”

BUZZZ. Sorry try again but thats not an acceptable answer per the game...
Well i started the game & prefer the use of comprehensive, unpretentious, non-latinesque responses so all can enjoy & to keep the game free flowing & user friendly.
Perhaps you can start your own thread.

Please state things correctly. You copied this from RC started by Mikey AKA The Banker. My apoligies if more the two syllable words are somehow offensive, or you belive others cannot follow. To me that belief would be most offensive. Just because someone starts a thread does not make him or her the master if it, or have the right to determine what can or can not be posted. I truly think by you above statenent you sir are selling the rest of R2R short...
