Dropped gold hammer, few polyps fell off

I just dropped 4 heads of gold hammer onto concrete and its lost quite a bit of polyps. Ivjust got it and the shock of hitting the ground knocked off quite a few polyps. Wi it be fine?

Edit. Looking closer I see there are polyps sheared off. Probably fine but probably nothing to do about it at this point.

I've had frog spawn drop tentacles. Never caused a long term problem. Just put it in a bit lower light and a bit lower flow and don't screw with it.

Think of the harshest environment the ocean can make on a reef during a fierce storm and I think your concrete drop pales in comparison. She will be fine.

I had an anemone rip off some frogspawn tentacles and it bounced back just fine

You've just dropped it and the skeleton likely sheared off some polyps.

You've added an injury to an already stressful situation for a class of coral that doesn't like being moved.

You'll want to iodine dip as part of your acclimation. Watch for signs of infection. Nobody can tank you how long it will take.

I don't have any iodine dip, only coral revive

That is a necessary thing to have on hand. Especially when you're going on 10 coral binges.

When I was snapping off a hammer coral from a colony I accidentally put some pressure on one of the heads and sheared off several polyps. It was totally fine and very puffy within a few days.

I doubt the damaged branch will survive long term , lucky it’s not a wall or you might be toast.
But that’s the bonus on branching types, kill one, others fine and over time, new branches with sprout.
Always possible is this game though…good luck…fingers crossed.

I had done the same things popped like 6 heads off my frogspawn and he bounced back from it the next day
