Dropping copper too fast?

I have completed a 30 day treatment of copper which was at .78 ppm (hanna checker.) Copper read .5 on salifert test. Would doing a 70% water change stress fish by removing copper too fast? I understand you need to increase copper dose slowly but should you lower it slowly?

You can remove the copper as fast as you like. The fish won’t mind

Do the biggest water change you can, and then run Cuprisorb.

I made the mistake of only doing 50% changes thinking it would bother the fish. Wasted so much salt and time.

I did a 80% water change and copper is now down to .18. I will pick up some cuprisorb from LFS tmrw .
