Hello, I'm debating on purchasing the Fluval Evo XII aquarium kit from the website Drs. Foster and Smith since they have good holiday deals right now, but when i read reviews for their site, there is a lot of negativity towards them. I did however notice that it was mostly bad experiences on their prescription refils and what not for dogs or cats.
Does anybody have good experience buying from these guys on the fish/aquarium side, or should I avoid the hassle?
Thanks.

Have ordered many times from them (fish, cat, bird, lizard stuff) and never had an issue.

I ordered an IM 16 from them, which came in chipped on top rim of glass.
They promptly refunded/credited the $ and never asked/required that system to be shipped back.

I ordered a JBJ 45 AOI that came in with cracked glass. Short call and email later they were sending a replacement. I would order another tank from Drs. Foster and Smith without hesitation.

I never had issues with them but they were purchased by Petco and seems like things are now changing. On my last dealings with them they "warned" me that their return policy was changing. Now they would only take returns for wrong or damaged equipment. I enjoyed the no hassle returns incase something didn't work out. Only ever returned 1 thing but still. Also a new statement that once it is turned over to the shipper they are no longer involved or liable. The terms changed in December so buyer beware check out the new return policy. I'll stick with BRS from here out.

I still order stuff from them but they definitely are not what they used to be especially their livestock quality, selection and prices.
