Drukkosz upgrade - something little different

Like I mentioned earlier more fish have arrived.

I placed another order from live Aquaria and Biota, I really like the idea of captive bred fish, yes they are small but extremely healthy, eat shortly after being introduced to quarantine tank and I actually like that they are small so I can see them grow.

I got:
-Yellow Watchman Goby, Captive-Bred ORA

-Forktail Blenny Captive-Bred, Biota

-Biota Yellow Tang

- Biota Court Jester Goby x3

Oh live aquaria had again Caribbean Yucatan Cleaner Shrimp available. Now I know why they photograph her on black substrate:

Do you see her?

How about now?

Its been awhile so here is a little update. No surprise that there was more problems and issues.

I have ordered a big generator few weeks back but because of the shipping, it would take few weeks for it to be delivered. During that time and big storm we have had few weeks back I lost power for over 3 days. I was forced to buy another one from Home Depot just to keep basic live support for fish as well as essential items in the house: septic, well water, fridge’s, freezers etc. Wife and my little dude were forced to move in with in-laws for that time (no heat).

I was forced to put all the fish from quarantine systems (two of them) to my main display, luckily so far all of them survived but some other fish have ick now. So water maintenance and lots of good quality food has been applied.

I also shut down the old 125g tank, the original plan was to use it together with the new setup but unfortunately I cannot catch a brake and after emptied it, I noticed that all the inside silicone was starting to peel off.
I was actually able to remove both overflows with simply pooling them off with my hand.

Oh and my pipe cutter broke while I was removing all pipes. It was time to buy new one anyway but the timing sucked.

Water is in, I did more work on the NSA aquascape and I really like how it came out. tons of holes and places for the fish to swim through. the separate island on the right is strictly for the anemones- I think I have over 20 of them in my old tank.

Unfortunately nothing can just go right ever in this build, and I have noticed that the sump I am planning on using it has a leak.

I purchased Weldon 16 online and hoping I can patch it somehow when it arrives......

how was moving the big aquascape to the lookers left into the tank?

starting mine today for the res sea 650P Iam worries I might make it to big and lifting it in to the tank is going to be a pain...

how long did you let the cement cure before adding it?

love the torched wood. been thinking of doing that may self.

Left side is actually two pieces with some arches joining them together, I actually removed them to make it more open. Need to take some fresh pictures.
They were still heavy so be careful. I didn't use cement just sand and glue.
And the torched wood was actually a fun project so I recommend it. I did poly it after.
Good luck!

This is my "dirty" area. Sink, washer to wash filter socks and beer fridge - everyone needs a beer fridge!

My garage didnt have a sink when I purchased the house and because it has radiant heading, braking a concrete floor wasn't an option. Lucky I found product called Saniflow. What it does it pumps the waist water up to the ceiling and connects to a closest drain pipe. Genius idea, They even make one for toilets!

Found another female at LFS and had to buy her. After introducing her into a quarantine tank she imminently burred herself in sand and I have not seen her for 8 days. I thought she was gone but I didn't want to disturb her so I patiently waited.

Finally she came out but was not interested in frozen food. I got some live brine shrimp and black worms and she really liked live black worms. I was happy to see that she was eating, I started introducing back frozen food and now she eats like a little piggy.

How long have you had the saniflow hooked up? Are you happy with it? Does it get water from the washer and the sink or just the sink?

Tank looks fantastic! Your son looks like he’s really digging the trachy, I can’t blame him!

Thank you.
I have had it for almost two years now. I love it. It was really the only way I could have a sink in the garage and yes the washer is connected to it as well. I have another one that is connected to a sink and soaking bathtub. I always wanted a soaking bathtub but didnt have a room for it so we transitioned one of the storage closets. It works very well. I highly recommend it.

Thanks for your reply, I think that would be the perfect solution for hooking a sink up in my basement without any plumbing. Your bathroom is incredible!

The one I have is called Saniflo 008 Sanivite. They have bunch of different types, you can even add a toilet. Check out their website.

Finally major update. It has been long 13 months, working on this project almost everyday and finally I can see a light on the end of the tunnel.

I moved the old tank to its resting place and started transferring water, rock and corals from the Rubbermaid containers.

Still need to do more work on the plumbing and install UV sterilizer but I am really liking the look and can finally clean and organize the room (make wife happy)

I also relocated my water storage containers to the garage and run all the plumbing to the tank. Now I don’t have to worry about spills and it looks so much better than having them in the “fish room”
