Dry chamber next to over lflow ?

Has anyone ever seen this? I picked it up today it’s a 150g 5x2x2 with a overflow in the dead center of the tank. Next to the overflow is a dry chamber to run cords up through I thought it was pretty neat idea. Thought about putting two gyres in there one on each side and Kinda angling them long ways to create a circular flow.

Tank and stand cost me 650 never been used made by zero edge haven’t heard much about them, anyone have any experience with them?

Where do the returns come in?

Yeah, I have seen tanks like that. They are usually intended to sit out in a room and be viewable from all sides - otherwise there's no real advantage to a central wire channel. You can easily run a return pipe up through that channel if you want to run a herbie/bean drain, or even mount something like a vortech dry side (if it fits of course).

Ah, so the 'dry' area isn't for return pipes then. It was just a thought!
