Dry compartment of stand

want to add a isolated side of stand for electrical components, typical 48x24x40 stand out of 8020 and wondering if 10" is enough or could i do it with less? Basic design is partician false wall for power bricks and a shelf or another shorter wall for controller, mp40, ato...just curious what people have learned from ther cabinet builds

Can you put the power bricks outside? You can fit most of the control stuff in that section easy, but the DC converters get hot and take up most of the space. Ie if you can stick only the control part in that panel, you are golden. But I didn't account for the 8 power bricks, and mine are too short to reach all across the tank anyways, so they're dangling I would just take 6 inches and put the power bricks on the back side. Pump and power heads usually don't have enough reach from one side, but often they make extensions for the DC side, but then you'll have to account for the heat of the power bricks.
