dry / pellet food

Been feeding frozen food for almost 3 years now, Looking to switch it up a bit by feeding dry fish food .
Any recommendations ( not a big fan of flakes )
i have 2 clowns , yellow tang , scopas tang , 5 green chromis , scooter blennies , peppermint shrimps , cleaner shrimp , bartlett anthias , flasher wrasse

New Life Spectrum are the only dry foods I will feed my tank. All fish LOVE it.

I use NLS as well and all livestock love it except for my lyretail anthia... still trying to train it to eat dry food.

Check out TDO chroma boost pellets, you won't be dissapointed.

I also use NLS foods. I like their .5 mm pellets. Ocean Nutrition Reef Flakes are pretty good too.

I’ve been using the PE 3 mm pellets - fish seem to like them (though, candidly, they eat pretty much anything).

Be careful feeding flake and pellets. A look a the label will show that dry food is HIGHLY concentrated... frozen is often 80%+ water. Its REALLY easy to add a LOT of nutrients to your tank feeding dry foods.

Depending on the fish. We used the small and medium sized pellets.

+1 for NLS I had a 300gal with a large range of fish thriving on this brand.

Next large tank build I will use NLS again but will also be trying out Vitalis which gets awesome reviews and uses quality ingredients and packing process.

Always read the ingredients..

What do all the different types do? There are C2, EP1, EP2, A, B1, B2, C1; is the only difference the size of the pellet? Or is the formula for what they are make up of different as well?

I'm not a big fan of pellets but I do feed them. I've been impressed with Vitalis pellets. They have a very high moisture content and they smell fresh. All my fish eat them too. Other then that I like the PE pellets but given the choice I'd go with the mysis. I use new life spectrum as well.

Thanks for tagging us! Here is the size chart with nutritional analysis information. We are changing the chart today so that the products are in order by size. Here, the first 3 are highlighted (Small, Med. and Lrg.) because those are the sizes most familiar to hobbyists. The smaller sizes (A, B1, B2 and C1) are mostly being used as a weaning diet in finfish aquaculture, but these sizes are also appropriate for many different types of corals. I have inserted a coral feeding demo. The coral in the video is consuming TDO A (75-250 micron). We are finding that more and more people are target feeding their corals with TDO because of the great digestibility and scientifically proven color enhancer (Haematococcus pluvialis). This species of algae produces a carotenoid called astaxanthin. This compound results in dramatically better color in fish and corals, especially those animals with red pigmentation. Carotenoids are also great anti-oxidants.
