So I've made the mistake of bleaching some dry rock. Now, it only soaked for a few hours in a bleach and tap water solution. Then it's been soaking in water (which is replaced every few hours). Now I've heard that this is a bad thing to do. Wish I looked into that earlier. Anyway, I was wondering what your experience on it is, and what I should do now.

Soak in RO water with a good dose of dechloinator like prime for a day, take is out let it dry, do a sniff test just to be sure and you should be good. Chlorine gasses off quite fast. As long as you didn't use a scented or no drip bleach I don't see a problem.

Make sure you use prime. Don't just soak in fresh water... Use RODI. Theres nothing wrong with bleaching rock just have to do it the right way.

I've done it this way many times.

I usually use the dechlorinator at 4 x-5x the recommended strength.

I bleached all my live rock to eliminate any pests when I set up my newest tank. It will evaporate quickly.

Ya your fine!!!! Like mentioned just use some prime to neutralize the bleach.
I've bleached almost all my rock before adding it.
