Dry rock and live rock

I just bought a pound of wild caught live rock the two pieces in the front

And I was wondering how long it will take for the dry rock to start getting some color

I am setting up a 30 gallon rectangle reef tank. I am going to purchase dry reef saver live rock from BRS but have no idea how many pounds I should order. Does anyone have a similar set up that can give me some idea?

30-60 lbs. 30 should be your minimum. If your going full blown reef I'd get 60.
