Not to change the direction of this thread, but I am thinking of ordering the 150 pnp kit from scaquariums. Do either of you have any experience with this company?
i dont know what that is.

Hey guys just an update.

My numbers are now

Ammonia - 0

Nitrite-.05

Nitrate -50+ (its orange on the Red Sea kit that goes from blue to red)

PH- 7.6

I have been ghost feeding and added the remainder of a bottle of bacteria that I added to my 20 gal Nonmedicated QT tank that I'm trying to get up to speed.

I've heard that if nitrates get too high, it can cause things to slow down/ stop. Is this a legitimate concern?

It can be desirable but not critical to reduce the nitrate when the cycle is done. I wouldn't do anything about it while still cycling.

Thank you sir, I just hear you can also lose progress if not careful. So I've been ghost feeding spectrum pellets.

I have not seen any convincing reason to think it true that rising nitrate deters the cycle.
