Hey all! I've got this 1 pound of pukani I never did put in my tank when I first started up my system. It's been just sitting around and I was wondering about how to put it in there without hurting anything. It's been cleaned up a bit by soaking in vinegar when I first got it, and scrubbed with a toothbrush. There's still a bit of crud deep in the nooks and crannies that I couldn't get to, so it's got a little bit of die off inside. I wanna put it in the tank, but not sure of the best way to do so. Can I just... drop it in there as is? Orrrrr do I need to cure it first? It's going in a 6-7 month old 30g tank. I already have about 30 lbs of rock in there.

So I just need to put it in a bucket of saltwater? Probably need flow, but I don't have any other powerheads. Only thing I have to make any amount of flow would be a small HOB filter from an old 10 gallon tank. Would that suffice?

Yeah I've got the tank. I've been planning on using it for a QT tank but I need to finish renovating the spare bedroom. Until then, I don't really have anywhere to set it up. I can just sit it out for a few weeks, long enough to cure the rock tho. So place the rock in there with some tank water, and let the small hob filter circulate it for a few weeks?
