First Post :)
I just purchased a 60 gallon aquarium. I ordered dry sand online and am waiting for it to deliver before I start to cycle my tank. I am planning on purchasing 30lb of dry rock from Reef Cleaners. I know it is recommended that I add some live rock to get the dry rock going. Can I only add the dry rock for now or is it pretty necessary that I add live rock now as well? If I have to add live rock with it. How many lbs should I buy?

I would add 30lbs of liverock at the same time, if you can afford both. Are you going to stay with Florida liverock? I received 61 pounds from KP Aquatics and loved it. There are others that sell liverock from Florida, the best way is to overnight so you do not have a die off.

I hadn't really thought about the type of rock just saw that website and I liked it. But looking at KP Aquatics I can buy both live and dry rock from them. So maybe I will go that route.

Tampabaysaltwater is a great place to buy live rock from what i heard. I am planning on purchasing rock from them in the very near future.
