Just curious, its time to order rock for my new 90 set up and wandering if anyone has ordered rock from Billy's Reef Connection and what was there impression of it? I am also interested in opinions of any other rock supplies you might have.

i have 25 lbs of reef saver rock from BRS coming in this Thursday. ill take some photos

What was the size and shape like, was it nice aquascape rock or just a bunch of small pieces? I looked at Marco Rocks but the photo they have looks like a bunch small pieces
I order dry rock from reefcleaners because they have been phosphate free for me in the past. That is my go to source for dry rock.

You can request sizes you want from Reefcleaners. You can email ahead of a purchase for sizes/shapes that are available. Their reply time is pretty quick, more like extremely quick from my experience.

Their pieces are pretty easy to aquascape with especially if you give them an idea of what kind of rocks you want to aquascape with.

How about anyone else?, have any suggestions or photos of dry rock from suppliers?, Billy's Reef Connection, Marco's Rocks or possibly someone else?

I have always used Pukani rock from BRS. I think the rock looks great and you get a lot for the money. I just ordered another 100 pounds for my new build.

I got 75 pounds of key largo rock from Marco Rock, plus 20 pounds of Prime cuts. I have always used Marco rocks in all of the tanks I have had, never have had a problem and they always add extra to the order. Here is a picture of what the Marco Rocks look like in my tank after 6 1/2 months.

I used reefcleaners. I requested large pieces and that's exactly what I got. I didn't weigh what I received but I am 100% sure I got more that what was ordered. I have a 10lb rock in my garage still that I just didn't need in my main tank but I am saving it and will break it into 4 pieces for my QT tank.

I've ordered pukani and shelf rock from brs which I recommend. The pukani is fairly light for its size. Has lots of holes, nooks, and crannies for small fish to hide and to place frags. Very easy to work with, can chip and drill rock to customize

How much rock did you order and how large is your tank? thinking of ordering 100lbs for my 90gal, but don't want to order more than will fit

I have about 30 lbs of Billy's rock. It's is nice and easily stackable. I would definitely buy again.

Here is a picture of my setup. It has a mix of rock but gives you a general idea of what to expect... Don't mind the dry erase marker on the tank. Just measured my par readings.

I ordered 30lb but I already had 50lb (not from reefcleaners) in there to start and I have a 60 gallon. I think 100 would work well for you.

I ordered the 75 lb rock/150 lb sand package from Marco. I want to add more of their flat rocks someday, see photos in my thread (its linked in my signature)

I ordered 50lbs of rock from Marcos rocks about 2yrs ago. The rocks ranged from about football size to grapefruit size and all different shapes. Of course you do get a little rubble due to the delicate handling of UPS or FedEx, lol.
