I have some dry live rock that I have pulled out of another tank from maybe 3 months ago. What would I have to do to the rock to make sure that there is no crazy spikes in nitrates or phosphates.

Just scrub it under hot water or soak it or boil it. I can think of alot of stuff but dont know which is best.

Any help would be great

When I setup my 150 gallon tank I used 100lbs of acid was rock and seeded with 10 lbs of live rock used dr Tim's to seed the bacteria for the tank. My tank never went through a cycle also since the dead rock is totally clean corraline grown really fast I had corraline growing in less than a month
