I’ve got rock that I let sit outside and now it’s covered in isopods and bugs and I want to put them in my tank... any recommendations on how to go about that? I don’t want to start any kind of recycle in my aquarium so am I able to cycle them just by setting them in a bucket of saltwater?

Adding some dry rock to an established system should not cause any issue with your cycle. The only possible issue would be if it is loaded with phosphates. If in doubt add a small amount at a time. Soaking in a bucket of saltwater before may help remove phosphates before hand.

Is there any amount of time you advise soaking it?

Test to see if it has high phosphates after soaking fir 2 days. A lot depends on how much you adding compared to how much you already have.
I’ve got a good bit of well-seasoned wet rock in there now it’s a twenty gallon tank with enough wet rock to fill a ten gallon tank halfway up. I’m not sure how much it weighs. I’m wanting to add three good sized dry rocks now

Soak it for a few days. Change out water. Soak again for 2 days then test phosphates. If they test high then water change and soak 2 more days. Test again. Repeat until they no longer leach phosphates.

I don’t have a tester... I’ll just change out the water a couple times : D
