ok so i bought 80lbs dry aragonite sand from brs . i’m planning on just putting it in the tank adding dry rock and then getting her wet , i know a lot of people rinse it prior . i don’t really want to or have a place to wash it easily , is it possible to just add to tank throw in some fresh filter socks /floss and let them do the filtering and deal with the cloudiness

You can do that, but it will be a very cloudy mess for quite awhile. A tote and a hose is all that needed to rinse it. Just keep spraying it with a high velocity nozzle and draining off the water until it's clear. It'll take about 30 min of cleaning.

I ordered like 8 boxes of sand from BRS, I’m not real excited about rinsing it either. Figured I’d wait till spring and do it outside. Following if anyone has any easy ideas!

yeah i’m ok with it being cloudy it’s not even like a fine grain sand it’s a big aragonite particles

If you don't have access to a bin and hose put it in a pillow case and rinse in it the shower

I throw mine into a 5 gallon bucket and bury the hose in it. Dogs like chasing the water all over the driveway... Cheap entertainment

Exactly what I did. 5 gallon bucket, hose to the bottom, let her run. Fine stuff comes to top over the side. Easy peasy.
