dry stack stone

Has anyone ever worked with dry stack stone? I am thinking of using it to face a stand. How hard is it to install and what do you use to cut it? It seems like it would be cake, but I have been accused of delusional optimism before

Are you talking about stone like "Centurian Stone"?

It looks like real stone but is formed and painted concrete. Commonly used for fireplace or entryway accent

mix dry portland cement, and play sand.... 60% portland 40% sand. mix water unitl its about the consistency of "peanut butter" you want it to spread fairly easy, but thick enough to stand slightly vertical. Cut the stone with a diamond grinding wheel. Use either cement board on your stand or line it with osb/wire mesh. then scratch coat the mesh before applying stone.....

Make sure you have a level line across the surface as a starting point.....
