Has anyone ever worked with dry stack stone? I am thinking of using it to face a stand. How hard is it to install and what do you use to cut it? It seems like it would be cake, but I have been accused of delusional optimism before:)

thx,

It looks like real stone but is formed and painted concrete. Commonly used for fireplace or entryway accent

mix dry portland cement, and play sand.... 60% portland 40% sand. mix water unitl its about the consistency of "peanut butter" you want it to spread fairly easy, but thick enough to stand slightly vertical. Cut the stone with a diamond grinding wheel. Use either cement board on your stand or line it with osb/wire mesh. then scratch coat the mesh before applying stone.....

Make sure you have a level line across the surface as a starting point.....
